As Seen On TV

I LOVE info-mercials. I could watch the same ones over and over again. It's a wonder I don't have more random things than I do. ProActiv.... BareMinerals.... Core Secrets... Windsor Pilates... Bring it on. I am such a sucker. Oooh, especially for random "must have" cooking utensils. So my latest "gotta try it" was the Debbie Meyer GreenBags. You've seen it, I'm sure. You put your produce in these green bags (ahh, clever) and it's supposed to make stuff last much longer. On the back of the box there's a few pictures of veggies stored in the green bags and the same type of veggies in "regular storage" (per the box). I'm sorry, but I don't know who's tomatoes can get that nasty. What are you keeping them in? The trunk of your car? I thought I would try them because I love to eat salad, but it never lasts long. Here's the problem.... In order for the bags to work at their highest potential, the food needs to go in dry. Hmm... a no- can- do for salad. (I haven't seen a good info-mercial for salad spinners yet. ) If the bag collects moisture, you're supposed to wipe it out on a regular basis. So, sorry Debbie Meyer, but I'm not a believer.

So, you know you watch 'em too. What do you love or hate that you saw on TV?

  1. Your family is beautiful. It was fun to read your past posts. I love the CTR story.

Oh, I wish I had some great infomercial gadgets, but I don't. I guess I have to see it firsthand before I can buy it.

I heard Core secrets works really well and I have bare minerals. Seriously love that stuff! It really does an awesome job at covering, and the plumper lip gloss really works because I don't have lips. haha

  4. Oh you haven't lived until you've experienced the luxury of BLOW-UP FURNITURE!! It's a sofa, it's a chaise, it's a bed...it's a piece of crap.

I think the chick who made that thing look comfortable deserves an Oscar.
